Earth, in the 26th century, had encountered a problem. A disease started in local hospitals, but soon the epidemic was worldwide. Even technology could not help people as they started dying. As the disease spread, it was clear that human DNA was evolving. Most humans could not survive any evolution and passed painfully. In an effort to save the world, a trusted doctor programmed simple robots to start cloning the humans. The robots were four in number and were assigned to protect the world and the Matrix. The doctor died before the Bots could start their endeavor and the recorded history of the previous era was lost with him. And so the computers and robots returned to their initial program: populate the world with humans. So they searched the internet for answers, encyclopedias and fiction became realities intertwined. The robots started pulling information and creating virtual realities in the Matrix. But the realities were so stale, so vacant, without life. Now they are creating and cloning the characters from those fictitious worlds and populating Earth's last safe city with them, Turais. It's the city surrounded by water, and hidden from the lands recovering from the disease. It is clean, and virtually safe... or is it?
